Last Sunday I had a few hours of free time so I opened pandora’s box 😉 in an attempt to organize Barbie’s clothes that have accumulated over the years. I couldn’t remember the last time I tried sorting, I want to continue where I left off. I found out I haven’t really done much and seeing my bin with the contents in shambles, I felt like having a headache!
I changed my mind 🙂 and decided to do it next week instead. I just picked 5 outfit and 5 dolls to try them on. All of these are thrift store finds in mint condition.
JAPANESE YUKATA, the sleeves are not longer than the thigh, it does not have any label so I think this is one of those made to order, got lost in the mail, and landed in my bin 😉
This one has no label also, so I do not know to which doll this was made for. Neatly sewn! With Nagajuban undergarment.
Traditional Korean wedding dress, no label.
Ascot Dress from My Fair Lady, handmade replica for Barbie, no label.
I was really amazed, I thought it was original Mattel, but nope, this is handmade. Judging from the snap button, this was probably made during the 70’s?
Barbie Benefit Ball Gown 1992 from the Classique Collection Limited Edition created by Designer Carol Spencer!
I found this along with another creation of Carol Spencer sometime in Year 2012! I have forgotten about it coz I had it hung inside my wardrobe cabinet. I really liked that they used plastic mini zipper than the velcro that often damage the fabric.
